Black Bean Burgers Your Family will Love

I came across this recipe many years ago. It was what we consider a “keeper” in my house because these are totally black bean burgers your family will love.

We honestly couldn’t wait to make these again after the first time.

These are incredibly easy to make. If you like to do meal prep on the weekend, for faster week night dinners, you can certainly make these ahead of time. Just make sure if you make these in advance that you separate the patties with parchment paper so they don’t stick together.

BLACK BEAN BURGERS

1 lb. ground turkey
2 cans canned black beans, drained/rinsed
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1 dried oregano
2 tsp lime juice
1 egg white
Whole wheat buns
1 avocado – sliced
1 tomato – diced
Dairy free cheese
Fresh market sprouts

  1. Pre-heat oven 425′
  2. Blend up beans until smooth and a bit chunky
  3. Then mix beans, meat, spices, egg & 2 tsp lime juice until blended
  4. Pat mixture into patties
  5. Place on foil lined baking sheet and cook 15 minutes in oven
  6. Serve on whole wheat bun with sliced avocado, diced tomato, dairy free cheese and fresh market sprouts

Enjoy!
