Farmer’s market basil vinaigrette is one of my favorite homemade dressings. It’s simple and fresh – something that can help you prolong that summer feel well into the fall and winter.
Next time you’re at your local farmer’s market pick up some fresh basil so you can make this amazing vinaigrette. If you are lucky enough to shop at one of the markets here in San Luis Obispo County be sure to stop by Peacock Farm’s for amazing basil and the BEST tasting tomatoes on the entire central coast.
I like to pair this dressing with mixed baby lettuces, tomato, and if you are able to – crumbled farmhouse cheese. Just a note – if you don’t have a great farmer’s market near you, but live near a Trader Joe’s, you can pick up a huge packet of fresh basil there to use in this recipe.
