I Love Making Apple Spice Tea

Fall is the time for apples and I love making apple spice tea. But nothing beats taking a family outing to a local farm – taking a hay ride out into the orchard, picking a bushel of apples and going home with the spoils. Our favorite local location is  Avila Valley Barn – do you have somewhere you like to go?

This lovely recipe for Apple Spiced Tea is glorious to share with friends and family on a crisp fall day. Can you tell I’m really plugging for the seasons to change here in California? Come on mother nature – bring on fall! If only my fireplace worked, then I’d be set. I know you want to know why it doesn’t work, and that’s a sad story about our fireplace inside being painted by the previous owner for aesthetic reasons – then finding out we need to put in an insert to use the fireplace safely. So phooey – but feel free to make this up and sit in front of your roaring fire this fall. Heck, maybe I’ll go put logs in the Santa Maria BBQ and pretend it’s a really tall fire pit.
