Heat oil over medium heat
Add cumin seed and bay leaves
When seeds start to pop, add onion, garlic and ginger paste
Saute until oil separates
Add half tomato sauce
Mix in turmeric, garam masala, paprika, coriander, curry powder
Stir fry until oil separates
Add peas, potato, pasilla pepper, remainder of the tomato sauce, kosher salt and lemon juice
Heat through
Remove bay leaf
Serve over jasmine rice or with pita bread, naan or gluten free tortillas
