Slice your tomato into thick slices
Place corn meal into a shallow dish
Put a nice layer of oil in a fry pan and warm up to med-high heat
While oil is heating up press tomato slices into corn meal and make sure both sides are nicely covered
Then place them in the fry pan and cook until golden brown
Flip and cook until the second side is golden brown as well
Remove from oil
Place on paper towel lined dish and sprinkle with salt while they’re still hot
I prefer to eat these when they’re still blazing hot, but some folks prefer to eat them when they’ve cooled down a bit.
