Anyone that has been following me since the beginning knows that there is a particular female host on the FoodTV that drives me bonkers. Not only is she loud and crass, but her recipes just don’t work. Many years ago my husband got me one of her cookbooks for Valentine’s Day, and I honestly doubt any of the recipes were tested out BEFORE putting them to print.
That being said… this is a take off one of her recipes. Needless to say I didn’t actually FOLLOW her recipe knowing full well that it wasn’t going to turn out and I just wasn’t in the mood to toss out good ingredients. I’ve had enough disasters in my kitchen thanks to her.
This recipe is both easy and kid approved. Happy cooking.
Individual Hawaiian Calzones
Ciabatta rolls
Marinara sauce
Chunky pieces of Canadian bacon
Pineapple chunks
Shredded Cheese
Pre-heat oven to 350′.
Slice a thin slice off the top of each roll.
Hollow out the center of the roll on the bottom slice.
Layer in your toppings like you would place them on a pizza.
Cover roll with the top piece.
Place on a baking sheet and bake 15-20 minutes or until the roll is crispy and the insides are gooey.
