Instant Pot Chicken Take 2

Here's another recipe for chicken in the instant pot - instant pot chicken take 2. This time instead of using the pressure cooker setting, you'll be using the slow cooker setting.
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. dry thyme
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- Fresh ground black pepper
- 4-5 pound whole chicken (be sure to remove the bits & pieces from inside)
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced
Mix garlic, paprika,thyme, salt and pepper in a small bowl
Rub spice mix on outside of whole chicken
Place chicken in instant pot, top with sliced onion
Cover and turn instant pot to slow cooker setting on low
Cook 6-8 hours or until inside temperature is 165’F and juices run clear
Serve
Shred leftover and freeze for later use
