Instant Pot Chicken Take 2

Why do one thing well, when you can learn to do two. Here’s another recipe for chicken in the instant pot – instant pot chicken take 2. This time instead of using the pressure cooker setting, you’ll be using the slow cooker setting.

1 tsp. granulated garlic

2 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. dry thyme

1 tsp. kosher salt

Fresh black pepper

4-5 pound whole chicken (be sure to remove the bits & pieces from inside)

½ medium onion sliced

  • Mix garlic, paprika, thyme, salt and pepper in a small bowl
  • Rub spice mix on outside of whole chicken
  • Place chicken in the instant pot, top with sliced onion
  • Cover and turn to the low slow cooker setting
  • Cook 6-8 hours or until inside temperature is 165’F and juices run clear
  • Serve
  • Shred extra and freeze for another use

Here's another recipe for chicken in the instant pot - instant pot chicken take 2. This time instead of using the pressure cooker setting, you'll be using the slow cooker setting.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Mix garlic, paprika,thyme, salt and pepper in a small bowl
  • Rub spice mix on outside of whole chicken
  • Place chicken in instant pot, top with sliced onion
  • Cover and turn instant pot to slow cooker setting on low
  • Cook 6-8 hours or until inside temperature is 165’F and juices run clear
  • Serve
  • Shred leftover and freeze for later use
