One of the strangest things to think about when I went dairy free was to find a dairy free wine. Bizarre right? Who’d have thought that wine would have a dairy product associated with it.
So no wonder one of the most shocking things for me to learn was that some wine makers use dairy proteins to fine their wines! Totally shocking I know. How many of the vegans out there thought to think of that when shopping for wine?
One happy perk of having had a catering company, we know LOTS of winery folks. After asking around locally, I learned that many of wines produced in San Luis Obispo county do not use this process.
