Chips & a Deli Sandwich for Lunch

There are some days I just want to scream “Uncle” at the world and go back to bed. Obviously thank to this thing called adulting I cannot do that – so instead I hit the easy button. Chips & a deli sandwich for lunch it is, and you know what? I’m really, totally okay with that. And guess what else? I just added adulting to my spell check.

Giving it Our All

Every one of us does our best to give this thing called life 110% between being a parent, working whether it be outside of the house or in (and yes, being a stay at home parent IS work), playing chauffeur to our children getting them to the doctor, sports, music, clubs, you name it. I think we’re more than entitled to take a moment off from eating healthy, or putting much thought into a meal for that matter.

Got to be an Easier Way

The easiest way obviously is to eat out, but who has the funds to eat out as much as they’d like? Do you? I certainly do not. But I do spend a lot of time at the grocery store, and while this may look like a casual deli sandwich and chips for lunch, it was actually totally premeditated. Think those chips just magically arrived at my house? Nope – I bought them. And then promptly stashed them in the hidden recesses of my kitchen so that the other members of my family won’t eat them before I have a chance to enjoy my crunchy treat! You can’t tell me I’m the only one that hides food in the house? I see you, smirking and nodding your head as you read this – you’re totally guilty of this too.
