Culinary Rock Bottom

Since we’ve closed our business and are no longer catering crazy summer wedding seasons I thought I’d share with you a post I pulled off the old site of the day I officially hit culinary rock bottom and the kid had “crunchy banana” for dinner. I wrote this down about six years ago when we didn’t have time to breathe, let alone make food for ourselves during wedding season.

This still makes me laugh out loud. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Mom’s – this one goes out to you, never feel you’re a failure for not making your family a home cooked meal for dinner. You do what you have to do. But happily this recipe is easy and kid approved ~ Happy Cooking!

So I’ve hit the bottom. Yesterday was a go go go sort of day. And sadly food has taken a culinary hit so to speak.

Here’s the wrap up of the day:: breakfast at McDonald’s, lunch for the kid & I at Carl’s Jr, and dinner for we girls is in the photo.

Crunchy bananas i.e. banana dipped in dry cereal.

If this is any inkling of the rest of the season at work I’m doomed!!
