I’m slowly making my way through the stacks of recipes that need to be tried. Here is my take on a family approved beef with broccoli. This is kid and adult approved, and if you’re feeling productive, double it so you can freeze half for later.
BEEF with BROCCOLI
BEEF MARINADE
3 tsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp cornstarch
STIR-FRY
1 lb beef – top sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tsp water
3 tbsp oyster sauce
1 1/2 lbs broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp minced garlic
- Cut beef and marinade for 20 minutes at room temperature or longer in the fridge
- Mix up stir fry sauce (oyster sauce, water, balsamic vinegar) set aside
- Steam broccoli and set aside
- Heat oil in large sauté pan on high heat
- Sauté garlic until tender
- Add beef and fry until beef is cooked on both sides
- Add stir fry sauce and broccoli and stir until all is combined
- Serve over warm white rice or for a healthier option – cauliflower rice
