Hamburger Salad
Ever had a moment where you wanted a burger but didn’t want all the carbs of a burger? Now you can enjoy that very food without all the guilt. Enter the hamburger salad! This will remind you of your favorite burger joint, and you wont have to feel as guilty when you eat it. Happy eating. Hope you enjoy this as much as my family did.
Hamburger Salad
Salad:
1 pound grass fed ground beef
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. granulated onion
1 tsp. fresh minced garlic – I use a garlic press
1 head iceburg lettuce, chopped
1 large tomato diced
½ small red onion, diced
1 cup dairy free cheddar shreds
12 dill pickles, diced
Dressing:
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. plain unsweetened coconut yogurt
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 ½ tsp. water
1 tbsp. minced white onion
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sweet pickle relish
1 tsp. white vinegar
Kosher salt to taste
- Mix dressing and chill until meat is cooked and cooled
- Spray large non-stick pan with cooking spray
- Cook ground beef with granulated onion, until cooked through and crumbled
- Add Worcestershire sauce and minced garlic
- Stir to combine
- Remove from heat and cool completely
- Place ¼ lettuce in a salad bowl
- Top with ¼ ground beef, ¼ cup dairy free cheese, tomatoes, 2 tbsp. dressing, and top with chopped pickles
- Serve immediately
