Dairy Free Powdered Hot Chocolate Mix

One of the hardest things for me to give up when I had to remove dairy from my diet were hot chocolate packets. Here is my version of dairy free powdered hot chocolate mix. We like to go camping, and hot chocolate was always on the menu.

When the weather turns cold and wet (yes, we do occasionally get rain on the Central California Coast) nothing is more comforting than snuggling under a blanket on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate. So this year I went on a quest to find a recipe I could adjust to match my food restrictions and I found one. I make this in large batches and keep it in an air tight jar. I also pre-scoop packets and keep them in my desk at work for any time I want a quick snack that is not food.
